The Story of the Three Characters

The Story of Three Character Types (which one are you?)

The Character Traits

The prag·ma·tist:

A person who is guided more by practical considerations than by ideals.  One who claims that an ideology or proposition is true if it works satisfactorily, that the meaning of a proposition is to be found in the practical consequences of accepting it, and that unpractical ideas are to be rejected.

The re·al·ist:

A person who accepts a situation as it is and is prepared to deal with it accordingly. One who’s view about a given object is that it exists in reality independently of our conceptual scheme.

The ro·man·tic:

A person who’s beliefs or attitudes are conducive to or characterized by the expression of love. One who believes in the natural goodness of humans which is hindered by the urban life of civilization. The Romantic believes  that the savage is noble, childhood is good and the emotions inspired by both beliefs causes the heart to soar. The Romantic believes that knowledge is gained through intuition rather than deduction.
